Hi there
Whilst I have been a member for sometime this is the first time I’m sharing. Reading other carers stories in similar situations is both heartbreaking but strangely comforting- knowing you are not alone and that there are so many people out there going through similar situations.
Living with a family member with a mental health illness when they are in the depths of sadness can feel excruciating, but there can be no greater pain than what they must be feeling. My beautiful girl, filled with sadness, self loathing, and wanting so badly to not feel this way.
We continue to try in every way to get her the help and supports she needs, but it’s a slow and complex journey.
I will never give up hope that one day she will be free from her torment and she will find happiness in this life.
Thanks to all those who contribute with helpful resources, and messages to posters of hope and support. And to all the people out there going through mental illness, please know that you are loved❤️

So far so good Shaz51!
Beautiful day where we are, sun is out! We’ve got our girl enjoying playing patience. The road of trying to find therapists is a slow process- such lengthy wait times. At least she’s open to getting support, just trying to focus on the present and being mindful of the language we use when the bumps start to appear. Hope you are having a good day? Appreciate you reaching out xxx

Hi @Lucky11 Although our daughters diagnosis are different but mental health issues just the same, I just wanted to touch base to let you know I’m thinking of you and your family. The struggle is real, the heartache immeasurable, one that many do not truly understand. Acceptance helps a little but takes a long time and even then, there is always that little corner of your heart that aches and aches. Sometimes I sit with that ache, name it and howl like a banchee, other days I distract as the howling, although therapeutic is physically exhausting. I’m hoping help for your daughter is close at hand but meanwhile moment by precious moment may you all find some inner peace. 🙏❤️🌹
