What a relief to know that your hand is not broken. Having said that relief does not make pain go away instantly.
Have you been told to have the hand supported in a sling to keep the pressure off as well as a reminder not to use it; bump it?
Forgetting to tell the doctor about your recurring depression makes total sense to me. Apart from the fact that we are always hurried along during appointments.
Depression does that it slows down everything and when around for some time brings everything to a halt. Before we know it we are feeling nothing, wrapped up like a baby, unable to move.
Back pain and depression often go hand in hand especially when living with other struggles.
Pain relief for hand might also provide some relief for back.
This in turn if you can rest, will work it's way to lifting some of that heavy depression.
Did I hear that you are driving to Perth?
I hope that is after resting. In particular driving with one hand?
Are you moving there permanently?
Hope blood results come back soon with some good news for you also.
