Re: Healthy Minds Webcast Series // Smashing stigma // Tues 27 Sep 7pm AEST

Hi @NikNik and @Former-Member

I've taken a leap and opened up at work.

Re: Healthy Minds Webcast Series // Smashing stigma // Tues 27 Sep 7pm AEST

Wow @Former-Member !

How did it go?

Re: Healthy Minds Webcast Series // Smashing stigma // Tues 27 Sep 7pm AEST

So far so good @NikNik

Little positive feedback, and generally big silence. I don't know what's going on behind my back - and I don't care. I'm a little worried about my professional future, but I feel better in myself for speaking up. I don't need to lie anymore.

Re: Healthy Minds Webcast Series // Smashing stigma // Tues 27 Sep 7pm AEST

@Former-Member. I love that attitude - that you don't want to lie anymore. Wow. Good for you knowing and doing what's in your & your healths best interest

Re: Healthy Minds Webcast Series // Smashing stigma // Tues 27 Sep 7pm AEST

@utopia, the webinar and the folllowing discussions here made me think about it and once I set my mind to it, I normally proceed quickly. The aftermath is unknown... but I think for me it is better to be able to be myself. For too long I asked myself, what if I find out I don't like the world around me.

Re: Healthy Minds Webcast Series // Smashing stigma // Tues 27 Sep 7pm AEST

Congratulations @Former-Member. I wouldn't worry about the aftermath. You have been true to yourself and I have found that liberating.

Most of your work colleagues will realise that you're still the same person you've always been!

Good on you @Former-Member, well done for talking to your co-workers.

take care xxxooo

Re: Healthy Minds Webcast Series // Smashing stigma // Tues 27 Sep 7pm AEST

@Former-Member. I think having good health means being true to what's right for you. Fingers crossed about the 'aftermath'.
The reality is we can't control what others think and do. But we can control what we do.
Fantastic
