Its usually a sign of low self esteem if people take advantage of you @Meowmy our good cheer and well meaning nature can be interpreted as a weakness by some. Its hard to know how to give without having our kindness being used. But yes it can be seen by people as a resource to be exploited

@StuF Ah voting. Well off you go to the polling booth. We have council elections soon not local government. Our council went into administration due to corruption and the mayor ended up committing suicide. We haven't had a proper council in years until now. Theres all kinds of news in the local rag about our council in years gone by with court cases and infighting and one person having a nervous breakdown over abuse going on. The council has been in disarray ever since I moved here. The council here is an occupational hazard!
